A 5.3 magnitude earthquake shook La Habra the evening of March 28th. The earthquake struck on a fault underneath the Puente Hills thrust fault. It was relatively shallow and did not perturb the parts of the Puente Hills fault or the Whittier fault where seismologists expect a major earthquake to start. Numerous aftershocks frightened residents and led to the evacuation of Disneyland, but there were no reports of significant damage or injuries
